A superior pot for a fraction of the price of the competion.
I am in the process of switching all my cookware from aluminum to stainless steel so that is why I first looked at this pot. (I know Cuisinart Chef’s Classic 12-Quart has an aluminum disc at the bottom but this is covered by the 18/10 stainless steel) I have needed a large pot for a long time so I took a chance on something I couldn’t see. Good chance! Very nice , heavy, durable pot. Now came the real test- I had a bushel of apples that I wanted to make applesauce with. I was scared that it would burn and scorch on the bottom and be a pain to clean-up but…. yeah, surprise- it was great! No burning and very easy to clean for being such a big pot! Now , I have only made applesauce so far so I can’t speak for all foods but it passed this test for me, I am sold. I plan to slowly add the rest of the Chef’s Classic line and replace all of my cookware! Hey, when you get this, try making some homemade applesauce! yum!
